This week's episode of the feed in five with your host Caryn Hojnicki the city's communication specialist the feed in five is a shorter version of the Farmington feed and will be a quick update of what's going on in the city of Farmington Caryn. hey Farmington let's find out what's happening in your town the third annual chill with a cop event will take place on Tuesday June 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at chill ice cream studio and arcade this is a chance to meet your police, pose for a photo and check out a squad car every kid gets a free scoop of ice cream no registration is required Recreation summer fun starts this week with safety camp on Thursday June 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Rambling River Park Warming House registration deadline is today this day includes learning safety tips and lessons through Hands-On activities safety demonstrations and of course visits from some very special people, fire trucks, police cars and more lunch will be provided and cost is only $42. free Recreation programs in collaboration with Dakota County Library in Farmington starts this week as well they include storytime in the park on Thursday starting on June 13th at 10:00 a.m. each week is at a different Park and has different themes Storytrails is only once a month and the first one is Friday June 14th at Prairie View Park at 9:30 a.m. check out the event calendar on the city's website for details on all these programs Dew Days is coming up come join your community for a fun family celebration downtown there are a few City sponsored events during Dew Days that you shouldn't Miss first is thirsty Thursday on Thursday June 20th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. under the Big tent off 325 Oak Street Farmington liquors sponsors this tasting event with over 20 vendors in attendance it's only $15 to enter you must be 21 to sample but families are welcome to attend next up is the Rambling River Center Model Railroad Club display it will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday June 22nd then the annual police bike auction which is also on Saturday we'll start viewing at 11:00 a.m. and the bidding will begin promptly at 11:30 this is also under the big tent and the finale is kiss the pig at 4:00 p.m. under the Big tent on Saturday June 22nd see which Challenger got the most votes and will be kissing Betty the pig remember vote with your change in the canisters throughout the city or vote online at webtrac.farmingtonmn.gov a summer favorite the Puppet Wagon is back it will run on Fridays during the summer starting on Friday June 21st through Friday August 9th no Puppet Wagon will be on Friday July 5th the Puppet Wagon visits various locations throughout the city the first show starts at 9:00 a.m. at Sach’s Park in Empire it travels to daycares preschools and Parks check out the full schedule on our website calendar Muddy Waters studio is now offering a few art camps this summer in partnership with Farmington Parks and Recreation up next is slabs and sculptures the week of June 17th through the 20th from 1 to 4:00 p.m. for ages 11 to 15 it will give Young Artists some quality time with this versatile medium to find it strengths and its limitations please bring a snack and water bottle each day cost is 144 for the week register at web trac.Farmingtonmn.gov and that's the feed in five remember you can listen to all our podcast including the Farmington feed in the feed in five wherever you like to get your podcasts.
