Farmington Feed in 5: Week of July 28, 2025

Caryn:

Hey, Farmington. It's Caryn here bringing you the latest with the Feed in Five. The annual National Night Out event is Tuesday, August 5. Police and fire are excited to visit neighborhood celebrations again. To receive a visit from one or both of the departments, you must request your visit from police or fire at FarmingtonMN.gov/NNO request.

Caryn:

Get more information on the annual event at natw.org. This year, we'll continue the tradition of collecting items for the Farmington Food Shelf. Let's see how many pounds of donations we can get. Find the food shelf's most needed food, personal care, and cleaning items at FarmingtonMN.gov/FoodShelf. Ready for the last adventures of summer?

Caryn:

Join us for the new adventure camp too. Monday through Thursday, August 11-14 we'll head to Hyland Park and Bloomington Aquatics Center, Grand Slam in Skateville, Nickelodeon Works, and Water Parks of Minnesota. Waivers for specific locations need to be signed by a parent or guardian and will be emailed to parents. Games will be played before and after bus times. The camp is from 9AM to 5PM.

Caryn:

Bring a bag, lunch, water bottle, and sunscreen. We highly recommend a swim shirt. A coast guard approved life jacket is required for Water Parks of Minnesota. The cost is only a $195 and is for ages eight to 13. You asked and we delivered.

Caryn:

There are two more little and middle camps to end the summer. Monday, August 18 will be Bluey camp with all things Bluey, Bingo, and their friends. We'll paint Bluey suncatchers, have a Bluey scavenger hunt, play Bluey games, and more. Wednesday, August 20 will be Minions with a burst of yellow silliness where everything fun and funny is banana level awesome. Remember, little camps are from 10AM to noon for ages three to four, and middle camps are from 1 to 3PM for ages five and six.

Caryn:

Cost is only $25 and includes a snack. The last offering of Mini Clay Camp at Muddy Waters Studio will be Wednesday, August 20 and Thursday, August 21 from 9 to 11:30AM for ages six to 10 and 01:30 to 4PM for ages 11 to 15. Mini Clay Camps give creators opportunity to put more time and energy into solid construction and finishing details of their project. Students will create clay food fun in this camp. Following the creation of their project, they will glaze their creations.

Caryn:

Cost is $96 per artist. The Rambling River Center renovations are complete, we would love for you to join us at the ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 13, starting at 10AM.
