Farmington Feed in 5: Week of July 15, 2024
Hey, Farmington. It's Caryn here, bringing you the latest with the Feed in 5. The Open Door Food Pantry will be setting up at the Rambling River Center on Tuesday, July 16th from 3 to 4:30 PM. This monthly event held on the 3rd Tuesday offers free fresh produce and other food items to those in need. Expect a variety of pantry staples, fresh fruits, vegetables, and dairy products, though the specific items may vary each month. The distribution will take place on the south side of the Rambling River Center near the garages. Attendees are encouraged to bring reusable bags to help carry their items. No appointment is necessary.
Caryn:The parks and recreation department invites you to celebrate the end of parks and recreation month with a bang. On Friday, July 26th, head to Lake Julia Park for a party and movie in the park. Starting at 7 PM, enjoy games, crafts, and water balloons. Music will be provided by Kidsdance , and Marshall Line will also offer face painting and free popcorn. At 8:40, settle in for a free screening of a family favorite, Shrek. Bring some snacks and drinks, a blanket or chair, and don't forget the bug spray. Parking is limited, so if you live nearby, consider walking or biking. Caryn:Farmington's Music in the Park series continues with a special performance by Vinnie Rose on Wednesday, July 31st at 7 PM in Rambling River Park. Known for his versatile musical talent, Vinnie Rose will entertain audiences with a wide range of songs from Ghost Riders in the Sky to Hallelujah to Purple Rain. This event is generously sponsored by Castle Rock Bank, Hobo, Premier Banks, The Legacy, and VFW Post 7662. In case of inclement weather, the concert will move to the Rambling River Center.

The Hyperspace Starcade Video Game Truck is coming to Rambling River Park on Thursday, August 1st at 6:30 PM for an unforgettable evening of fun. Step inside this mobile gaming paradise featuring a luxury limousine interior with neon lights, full climate control, and 8 55-inch screens with individual sound bars. The truck boasts 300 multiplayer games designed to bring players together, as well as a Giant Connect 4 and a game coach to ensure everyone has a blast.
