Farmington Feed in 5: Week of January 12, 2026
Hey, Farmington. It's Caryn here bringing you the latest with the feed in five. You're invited to Rambling River Center Advisory Board's Coffee Cafe. It is from nine to 10AM every Friday morning through the March. Enjoy coffee and treats with the RRC advisory board and senior center members for free. We hope to see you there.
Caryn:The Open Door will continue in 2026. The first pantry date of the year will be Tuesday, January 20. This pop up pantry will be held on the third Tuesday of the month from three to 04:30. Free fresh produce will be available at the Rambling River Center.
Caryn:Enter the banquet hall from the 4th Street side of the building. Food items may vary each month, but can include shelf stable pantry items, fresh fruit, vegetables, and dairy items. And it's while supplies last. Please bring reusable bags if possible. To receive schedule updates, text CORN to 651-370-8095. No appointment is required.
Caryn:Did you miss registration for Learn to Skate? No worries. The next session will be Saturdays, February 7 to March 7 for five weeks at Schmitz-Maki Arena. You can register right now.
Caryn:They offer everything from ice explorers to artistry in motion and everything in between. We have something for all ages. There are even adult classes and adaptive skating. To register, go to Webtrac.FarmingtonMN.gov. All dates, times, class descriptions are available at time of registration.
Caryn:Heritage Figure Skating Club is proud to announce the 2026 Legacy on Ice Show: Skating through Wonderland. It will be Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14 at Hasse Arena. If you're a member of Farmington's Learn to Skate community, your skaters are invited to participate in this exciting production. Registration is closing soon, so next Monday, January 19. What's included in that?
Caryn:A fun themed costume, two weeks of rehearsal ice, and professional instruction, and dress rehearsal and three performances. It's a wonderful opportunity for skaters to strengthen their skills, make friends, and be part of a full skating production. All practices, rehearsals, and performances will take place at Hasse Arena. If you have any questions, email LegacyonIce@HeritageFSC.org.
Caryn:Mark your calendar now for National Skating Month open skate at Schmitz-Maki Arena. It will be Sunday, January 25 from 01:30 to 3PM. Entry is free with a food shelf donation. All donations will be taken to the Farmington Food Shelf. Skate rental is available at $6 per pair. There's an assortment of sizes for youth and adults, but first come, first served.
